Millie Shorter is a textile and fashion designer who creates bold designs with a uniquely Australian charm. Millie has qualifications in graphic design, screen printing and fashion design.
Millie first worked with Magpie Goose in August/September 2017 to deliver workshops to Aboriginal Artists in the Katherine region; assisting artists to transform their artwork into large scale screens to be printed on fabric. She also ran a Katherine screenprinting pilot, where she taught five jobseekers the art of screen printing. Magpie Goose engaged these jobseekers to print the new designs, with over 600m printed for Magpie Goose's second range.
In 2018 Millie has completed her NEIS course, and is preparing to launch her fashion label. She will continue to run textile design and screen printing workshops in collaboration with Magpie Goose.
