We haven't been able to get out to remote communities throughout 2020 and 2021 due to Covid, so we were really excited when the opportunity to come up to commission a shoot from the Cungelella Art family!

"We live on Kalkadoon country (Mount Isa) on the Leichhardt river, nestled among the beautiful ochre red Selwyn ranges. It’s very rugged country but at sunset you see the softness through beautiful shades of peach & purple across the sky."
"We have always been fans of MG, and it fills us with pride when wearing pieces that we know have been designed by other Aboriginal artists. We have loved watching the progression of MG. We can’t pick a favourite piece, we loved all of them they are all beautiful colours, prints and so comfortable!"
What do you love about being artists? "That we can educate through our art; have that creative outlet, and mostly that we can all do it together. That our work can be a beautiful conversation starter (about our culture and history) in people's homes!"
