First Collection

Our first collection was a collaboration with four remote Top End NT Art Centres - Palngun Wurnangat (Wadeye), Tiwi Designs (Wurrumiyanga), Babbarra Women's Centre (Maningrida), and Injalak Arts (Gunbalanya). We tested out a mini collection with friends and family at popups in Darwin and Melbourne in December 2016/ Jan 2017, and then went large with a Kickstarter pre-order campaign in Feb-March 2017! We launched our website in August 2017, with a the full collection available to all.

We learnt so much during this first collection, and are very grateful to the art centres who opted into the very new process of turning hand screen printed textiles (all done in community initially!) into wearable pieces of art!
